Quite a few characters are coming soon to a Court near you.
Det. Sgt. Alyssa Meyers
Minor Talent template Alyssa's family has been Seattle cops for 3 generations. Her dad retired from the force after her mother was shot in a drive by shooting. One of her two brothers is a cop and the other is an assistant coroner. She is very competitive and driven to be the Seattle P.D.'s first Female Police Commissioner. She has a boy friend who she recently discovered was a member of the Venatori Umbrorum after he saved her life when the serial killer she was tracking down just happened to be a Black Court Vampire. Her gift of Psychometry has opened her eyes to the fact that there is more going on in the world than most people know, but she does not yet see the big picture. Promoted recently to Detective Sgt, Alyssa has used her gift to track down the slipperiest of villains, giving her a great reputation among those who work with her. To others, she must be sleeping with the boss and half of the department to get the case closure rate she has got. |
Sister Stephens
Minor Talent template Stephanie Stephens was once possessed by a Demon when she was a teenager, but through Father Christopherson, God cast it out and saved her. With her faith renewed she devoted herself to helping others. She joined a convent and became Sister Stephanie Stephans. She was soon recruited to join the Fellowship of St. Giles where she helps those who have been attacked and infected by Red Court Vampires. Despite this, she longs to see all supernatural evil creatures banished from the Earth. |
Frank Harvey
Pure Mortal template Frank's father was a Seattle cop, as was his father before him. He has heard all of the weird tales from the darkest corners of Seattle, but is skeptical of things that "go bump in the night" being supernatural in origin. He likes to think he has an open mind, but he prefers rational explanations over superstitious "mumbo-jumbo." Detective Sgt. Kat Lang
Minor Talent Template Kathleen "Kat" Lang is the daughter of a Circus stage magician team. As a child in that environment, she learned the usual tricks, but then began to create new magic tricks, tricks that used real magic. That is about the time her parents died in a tragic fire, trying to save as many people as they could. Kat stopped doing magic for a time. She went to collage, got a degree in criminology, and then went to work for the Seattle PD in an effort to help people, just as her parents had done. She was promoted to detective and began to investigate strange crimes and occurrences that could only be explained by magic and the supernatural. Latisha Denton
Focused Practitioner Latisha's mother was circus a fortune teller of some minor talent who retired and opened Denton's Lore Store near the corner of Benson Road South & Puget Drive South. The shop focused primarily on printed books, both rare and used volumes, and limited editions from several publishers. It also has a selection of volumes on mythology, anthropology, history, and related subjects and various magical paraphernalia. Recently Latisha's mother was savagely killed, mauled by wild dogs she was told, but Latisha does not believe it and fears that whatever killed her mother may soon come after her. |
Father Martinez
Pure Mortal Template As a boy, Father Martinez saw something no mortal boy should ever have to witness, the slaying of his family by Red Court Vampires. He hid from them but was able to see them without their flesh masks. Knowing now that there are very real demon's loose in the world, he became a religious zealot. Over time, his stance has soften some as he has seen the benefit and sometimes even "need" to use less evil creatures to stop more evil creatures. He is aware of the Fellowship of St. Giles, but is very supportive of the Ordo Miles Militis of Crux Crucis (The Knights of the Cross) and hopes to join them. Today he is a priest at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Jim E. La'Page
Pure Mortal Template Jim grew up in a small mid-western town and went to Journalism school with big hopes and big dream, but with grades that could have been better. He was eventually able to land a full time job with the Seattle Supernatural, a local monthly tabloid. At first he was disappointed and depressed by this, but soon learned that he could use this as a stepping step to bigger and better things if he could just get the right stories. Jim is charming, witty, and perceptive, and a heck of a conversationalist. He is passionate like few others are, motivated to go, do, and act. He wishes to make people think, to make them see the truth, even though he is not yet sure just what the truth is. |
Dr. Eugene Hapsburg
Pure Mortal Template Dr. Hapsburg is Seattle's leading mortal expert on the Occult. He possesses a vast library of ancient and modern works on the subject and knows other experts all over the world should someone ever pose a particularly tough question to him. Despite this, much of his knowledge of the paranormal may be tainted by the mortal tendencies of confabulation, willful ignorance, and misinterpretation. He reads about and theorizes about the supernatural, but has little actual experience with the subject and believes most of it is not real. |
Angela Iverson
Pure Mortal Template Angela is no one special, in fact she'll tell you she is a bit of a bore. If she tells a joke, chances are you've heard it before. The daughter of working class parents, Angela is working her way through Med School as a part time EMT. She ends up working the shifts no one else wants, the shifts where weird stuff is fairly normal. She is getting quite an education on the streets of Seattle. Leon Owens
Pure Mortal Template Born and raised in South Seattle, Leon fought his way out of poverty and into prominence as a Martial Artist. He has competed internationally, but has not won any awards at the level, yet. Never-the-less, the walls of his Dojo are covered in local, regional, and national awards attesting to his ability. He is an instructor of Karate, Tae Kwon Do, and Muay Thai. He is often given to reckless action or showing off when a pretty girl is around, or ignoring his own personal safety with a child is in danger. Angela Wang
Pure Mortal Template Angela was a fine cop, she still is, but an encounter in a dark warehouse last summer went horribly wrong. She found herself in the middle of a fight she did not understand. She still does not know all of what has happened, but she does know that she is a "Thrall of the White Court" (whatever that means). She belongs to a club or group of some kind, "House Raith?" What do they mean by "Emotional Vampires"??? She cannot yet explain it, but she willingly does whatever they ask. She is addicted somehow, but seems otherwise able to function as a Seattle P.D. officer. She is confused, but more content than she ever thought possible. Daniel Raith
White Court Vampire Template Born in in a brothel in South Africa in the 1930's, Dan discovered his heritage during the closing days of World War 2. In the early 1950's he emigrated to America and worked in Hollywood for a time before travelling the country during the late 1960s - early 1970s. From the mid 1970s until 1990, he lived in Miami and then moved to Seattle where he currently works in the adult film industry. Samantha Raith
White Court Virgin Template Born in Wenatchee Washington, she is the daughter of Christina Jenkins, a Sorcerer, and Jean Luc d’ Amor, an eccentric White Court Vampire. She finds herself trapped between her mother's world of magic and her father's world of emotional Vampirism, not really fitting into either. Warned by her mother to stay away, she has come to Seattle anyway to find her father and figure out how to live a life that is of her own design. Hans Malvora
White Court Vampire Template His mother was the housekeeper / mistress / slave of a Nazi concentration camp doctor Horst Malvora. He grew up in Argentina where he learned to hunt, hide, and stalk, like the predator he was. When Mosad finally caught up with his father, he learned that they seemed aware of he and his father’s abilities and were hunting vampires under the guise of hunting war criminals. He escaped, barely, and has been on the run ever since. Recently he arrived in Seattle where he hopes to find others of his kind. Betty Wright
Focused Practitioner Template Betty is a kindly old lady whose dabbling in magic has seen her though good times and bad. Currently a retired widow living on a fixed income, she was born and raised in Seattle and knows pretty much everyone and everyone knows she makes a great cup of tea. Her tea blends, often magically infused, and her knowledge of local gossip makes her the one person everyone goes to for advice or help. Betty is considered by some to be a leader in the local Paranet and she spends here days gossiping and watching over the local supernatural community. |
Ken Denjiro
True Believer Template He was born in Yokohama, Japan in 1958. He began the study of kendo and karate at age 8. An avid student, he trained daily in the martial arts, achieving high levels of proficiency at a young age. At age 14 his family moved to Seattle when his father took a job at Boeing. He was never a very religious person, but an encounter with a supernatural creature on a dark Seattle street he has yet to identify left him both shaken and spiritually awakened. He has recently completed his Masters degree in counseling and has taken a job as a PE teacher for Rainier Beach High School in rough South Seattle. Between it and his Kendo Dojo, he helps under-privileged youth develop discipline and self-confidence and he is also very active in his local church and his neighborhood watch. |
Sister Julia Vasquez
True Believer Template Julia was born and raised south of Villahermosa in Southern Mexico. As a young girl she liked to help people and it was in the Iglesia Católica Nuestra Sra. del Rosario where she decided to become a Catholic nun. By her mid 20's she achieved her goal and worked to help the poor in Tegucigalpa Honduras, San Jose Costa Rica, Guerrero Mexico, and Pecos Texas where she first encountered the Supernatural. 20 miles east and a bit south of town she saw something she could not explain one evening when returning to town. She returned to the spot the next day and found a shallow circular depression in the ground where magical rituals of some kind took place. She reported her findings to the priest who opened her eyes to the world of the supernatural. Nearing the age of retirement, knowing of the supernatural, and being unafraid, she has recently been sent to the coldest place she has ever worked, Seattle. She works at St. Peter's Catholic Church where she runs the local Fellowship of St. Giles. Saint Giles, the patron saint of lepers and outcasts, is who the Fellowship is named after. There she tries to help people that the Red Court has harmed—victims’ families as well as those who have been cursed into a half-vampire existence. Joe Fuller
Were-form Template He is an attractive Native American of the Quileute tribe in La Push, near Forks, Washington. He was the son of a veterinarian father named Bart, who was killed in a horse accident just weeks before his birth. His mother remarried and moved to Central Washington and lived on a horse ranch. As a member of the Quileute, he discovered as he hit puberty that he can shapeshift into a wolf, the tribe's animal spirit and from whom the Quileute tribe have descended. He moved back to La Push with Jack Hart, an elderly uncle who has begun teaching him in the mystical ways of his people. |
